MFW: ECC & K4 WEEK 31
We will start our studies on Australia this week. All of us have been looking forward to studying this country, mostly because all of our favorite animals are from there. Plus we really enjoy learning about the different cultures that are in the world. Learn about the coral reefs and how important they are for the world. Little man will review the letters A-D and start on letter E. I decided to go back and this time start from the beginning of the alphabet with him instead of jumping around, so far him seems to recognize them this time around.

Instead of making mimi rugs we colored our x-ray animals and then glued them to a bigger construction paper and taped it to the wall. Afterwards we observed more pictures of x-ray style of the Aborigines of Australia.
Printed out some worksheets of some ocean animals and coral reefs and then we made a diorama of the ocean. I made cuts on the bottom of the box so the kids could use it as a puppet box, which they loved.
Puppet fun with their Ocean diorama.
Printed a Boomerang worksheet then used it as a template and cut it out of cardboard. After which the kids decorated them and then began to throw them. Can't wait till I can get them a real one.

FIELD TRIP
Went to the library for our usual story and craft time. The theme for this week: Five Senses.
There were several stations set up for the kids to be able to explore their senses.
Here they are observing their sense of touch and hearing.
Sense of smell and sight.
Made sensory bottles by adding several items into their bottles, such a fun activity.
This week we have enjoyed learning lots about Australia and all it has to offer. Watched several shows on the coral reefs and how important it is to the world. They are important for many different reasons aside from supposedly containing the most diverse ecosystems on the planet. They protect coastlines from the damaging effects of wave action and tropical storms. Looking forward to continuing our lesson next week and learning more about Australia.
GOD BLESS!!!
