This week we will learn about the art, return of the ark, Israel asks for a King, Saul is made King, and Samuel's speech. Also read about the Greeks at war, Greek, mythology, Greek colonies, the earth's movement, and the solar system.

Kids read a lot, worked on handwriting, definitions, spelling, and comprehension.

Worked on addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, skip counting, and conversion units.

Read about the Greeks at war, Greek mythology, Greek colonies, major Greek gods, oracles and strange creatures, a new form of government, hunting, the siege of Troy, trade, the invasion of crete, the end of the Mycenaeans, the Philistines and the ark, Israel ruled by kings, and Israel asks for a king.

SCIENCE

Learned about the Earth's movement, earth's motion, and the solar system.

FIELD TRIPS

Didn't go anywhere this week, I had just gotten back from PR, and just wanted to spend this time with my family. Enjoyed our Christmas together, even though it was a hard one this year.

CONCLUSION

This week has been a trying one with the lose of my abuela but we pushed through and finished the week strong. We read about the Greeks at war, Greek mythology, Greek colonies, major Greek gods, oracles and strange creatures, a new form of government, and hunting. Learned about the siege of Troy, trade, the invasion of Crete, the end of the Mycenaeans, the Philistines and the ark, Israel ruled by kings, and Israel asks for a king. Also read about the Earth's movement, earth's motion, and the solar system. Now unto next week to see what adventures are in store for us.

No field trips this week, got the news that my abuela passed away, and I left alone to PR to be for her funeral.
