 MFW: CTG (4th and 8th Grade) Week 2

This week we will study Genesis 2-9, in the garden of Eden, Adam and Eve, Cain and Abel, Noah, the real meaning of the Rainbow.  Also read about absorbing light, reflecting light, light, and energy.   Besides working on their school work the kids will enjoy 3 days of VBS at church.

Bible Reader Cards: Noah, Noah builds a ark, Noah sends out birds, and the First Rainbow.


Last year we went to the Creation Museum, and this week we talked about everything we remembered from the trip and looked through all of our pictures.  It was a wonderful trip with our family.


After going to the Creation Museum we went to the Ark, it was impressive to see the size of the ark and the inside was amazing.  It was a wonderful experience for all of us, highly recommend.  

LANGUAGE ARTS

Worked on our Spanish, writing, reading, spelling, and comprehension.







MATH

Kids worked on multiplication, division, addition, subtraction, and conversion units.

FIELD TRIPS

This week the kids enjoyed their time at VBS in church, K volunteered to help out with the kids in flag football (which D was a part of), and she even joined the dance team.  So proud of them going out of their comfort zone.  





At the end of the week we went to the pool to enjoy some relaxation and fun.

CONCLUSION

This week we studied Genesis 2-9, in the garden of Eden, Adam and Eve, Cain and Abel, Noah, the real meaning of the Rainbow.  Read about absorbing light, reflecting light, light, and energy.  Had a very busy week, went to VBS for 3 days this week, and ended the week with a trip to the pool.  Now unto next week to see what adventures are in store for us.
