This week we will learn about the plagues of boils, hail, locusts, darkness, death of the firstborn, the Passover, and Israel in Egypt.  Continue our studies of water, learning what is water, what is a solution, and other kinds of solutions.

Lots of reading, writing, spelling, comprehension, and poems.

Worked on addition, subtraction, division, multiplication, fractions, skip counting, money counting, and conversion units.

HISTORY

This week we worked on the plague of boils, hail, locusts, Moses, Egyptian Gods, the Lord announces the tenth plague, the first Passover sacrifice, the plague of darkness, the staff and the plagues, and the last plague.

SCIENCE

Learned more about what is water, what is a solution, did several experiments, and observed some Epsom salt under a microscope. 

ART

FIELD TRIPS

Kids enjoyed a day at Shepherd University for "Seeding for the Future" conference, this year D got to go with K.  They had a blast and are looking forward to next years conference.  

CONCLUSION

This week we worked on the plague of boils, hail, locusts, Moses, Egyptian Gods, the Lord announces the tenth plague, the first Passover sacrifice, the plague of darkness, the staff and the plagues, and the last plague.  Also learned more about what is water, what is a solution, did several experiments, and observed some Epsom salt under a microscope. Finished the week with the kids at "Seeding your Future" conference at Shepherd University.  It has been a great week of learning, now unto next week to see what adventures are in store for us.

FIELD TRIPS

This week we went to Orr's Farm Market with one of our co-op groups.  Kids learned all about apples, pumpkins, enjoyed a variety of apples and apple cider, picked some apples and pumpkins.  Then they played in the park, walked through the corn maze, and got to pet several farm animals.
