This week we will learn about Jeremiah, feasting and fun plays and players, games, religion, mythology, temples, worship, and talking to the gods. Also continue reading Odyssey, ancient Africa, Ghana, Mansa Musa of Mali, Songhay empire, Zimbabwe, and all about Mars.

Read about life in ancient Africa, the kingdom of Kush, the Nok people, the spread of farming, the riches of Axum, standing stones, a christian king, Byzantine rulers, Fatimids in Egypt, Arab invaders, Mamelukes in Egypt, and conquerors of North America. Also read about gold, salt, Ghana, the African continent, the influence of geography, African beginnings, Muslim influence in Africa, African kingdoms thrive, the first cities, games, the end of the Egyptian empire, sports, life at home, parties, temples and gods, Mansa Musa of Mali, the Songhay Empire, the kingdom of Ethiopia, and the city of gold.

FIELD TRIP

This week we went to Georges Mill Farm to spend some time with cute baby goats.

CONCLUSION

We have started to do two weeks of lessons in one week, now that we are getting closer to finishing the school year we are able to combing weeks. For this first part of the week we are going to learn about life in ancient Africa, the kingdom of Kush, the Nok people, the spread of farming, the riches of Axum, standing stones, a christian king, Byzantine rulers, Fatimids in Egypt, Arab invaders, Mamelukes in Egypt, and conquerors of North America. Also read about gold, salt, Ghana, the African continent, the influence of geography, African beginnings, Muslim influence in Africa, African kingdoms thrive, the first cities, games, the end of the Egyptian empire, sports, life at home, parties, temples and gods, Mansa Musa of Mali, the Songhay Empire, the kingdom of Ethiopia, and the city of gold. Started the week going to a goat farm, the kids are working on writing their paper on goats, it was a lot of fun getting to hold all the baby goats. Now unto next week to see what adventures are in store for us.
