MFW: Creation to the Greek and God's Creation from A to Z Week 17

This week we will learn about Crossing the Jordan, Jericho being captured, Trojan War, Achan and Ai Tutankhamen, and Joshua's farewell.  Learn all about the stages of plants, warm colors, and everything about penguins, the letter Pp, number 16, review colors and shapes, and continue with our sight words.

We did a brief summary on the Trojan War and the kids colored in their 


Made a Trojan Horse for the kids to get something they could look at closer.


We received the World Magazine and it had the perfect article to go with our studies this week on King Tut and more.


Mummies and Pyramids and found an article online about some awesome Egyptian pharaoh Tutankhamen's 3,300 year old sandals.

After learning about pumpkins the kids colored in their own version.



While I read about Penguins to little man he made one similar to the pattern like the cake one that was suggested in the TM book.

Used pennies every time he would read correctly he could keep the penny, and enjoyed working on some math worksheets afterwards.

FIELD TRIP 


Didn't go anywhere due to selling our house and finishing the last move.


Kids were great sports through the whole process and lending a hand wherever they could.  Blessed to have such wonderful kids.

This week we learned about Crossing the Jordan, Jericho being captured, Trojan War, Achan and Ai Tutankhamen, and Joshua's farewell.  Learned all about the stages of plants, warm colors, and everything about penguins, the letter Pp, number 16, review colors and shapes, and continue with our sight words.  Glad we got a chance to finish our lessons this week through all the crazy moments that was happening around us.

This week we will start memorizing Psalm 23, the Twelve Spies, water from the rock, the fruits from the Promised Land, bronze serpent, how Moses died and Joshua becomes the new leader, and Rahab.  Will study the Western Hemisphere, early Mexican Culture, the Olmecs, and Peru.  Also learn all about elephants, the number 15, letter Ee, and have fun learning all about the water in the sea, salt, and ice through various experiments.

Went with the family to Hubb's Farm, it was my parents first time but the our 4 time.
