MFW: ECC and K4 Week 23

MFW: ECC & K4 WEEK 23

Begin our studies on India this week and learn everything we can on their culture, people, and more.  We'll learn about mountains, how to help our environment, the three R's, A/A Judson, and continue memorizing the Lord's Prayer.  D will learn about the letter Zz, review his numbers, colors, and shapes.   Also celebrate Thanksgiving this week and learn the meaning of why we celebrate it.

Kathakali Face Painting Craft which we imprevisied since the kids are allergic to things on their faces.  We drew faces on sticks instead.




Printed this cute coloring worksheets for the kids from The Crafty Classroom .


Kids made cute little pilgrims and indians to go with our Thanksgiving celebration this week.

This week we started our studies on India and learned so much about its culture, people, and more.  We learned about mountains, how to help out environment, the three R's, A/A Judson, and continued memorizing the Lord's prayer.  Enjoyed our Thanksgiving celebration with our family.  Now unto next week to continue our studies on India.

Finishing our studies on Saudi Arabia.  Will learn about camels, the desert, and more about Islam.  Continue learning about the letter Kk with D and shapes.  Work on different types of art work and math problems.

ARTS & CRAFT



Cylinder Seal art work, kids made different messages for us to guess.  Got to say we all really enjoyed making different messages.  My message was "Going for a walk with the dog at the dog park".




K "Vampire going to stuck your blood" and D "Prince is going to get pizza".


Kids made camels and 3D cactus, got the camel idea from Artists Helping Children and the cactus from 
10 Minutes of Quality Time.

They came out so cute.

GEOGRAPHY



Observing several flags in the Middle East.


Made little puppets of some people from Saudi Arabia.




Kids got to observe some camels from Saudi Arabia that my parents got from a close friend.

SCIENCE



Camel Experiment in the Teacher's Manual


Kids had a lot of fun with this experiment and thought it was so cool when the camel wouldn't go down in the sand when we taped the quarter on the camel.




At the end of the last week we noticed some sprouting from our lentils seeds.




By the end of the week the seeds have sprouted a lot.  The kids were amazed how fast they grew.

NATURE WALK 



Went to Whinny Works Stables with our co-op group to learn everything about horses.



This horse has so much personality, pure love.




The kids got to groom the horses and learn all about the horses.

For their art work the kids made their own gingerbread man puppets.



Got to celebrate my mom's 59th birthday this week.  So glad to have another with my wonderful mother.  May God continue to always bless her and keep her safe.


We have been really busy this week finishing up our studies on Saudi Arabia, learning about camels, cactus, Islam and deserts.  Also celebrated my mom's birthday and went on a field trip with our co-op group to a horse farm.  Made many different types of art work and enjoyed every minute of it.  Now unto next week to start our studies on India.
