MFW: CtG and God's Creation Week 6

MFW: Creation to the Greek and God's Creation from A to Z Week 6

It's has been a crazy few days, in the process of moving and painting the outside and inside of the house, it has kept busy very busy.  So glad to finally start back at school, trying to keep some normalize with the kids while in this process.  This week we will be learning more on pyramids, mummies, preservation, Bible book memory work, and learn about Sukkoth.  Little man will be working on the letter Nn, number 5, review colors and shapes, and learn about all times of animal homes, and bird life cycles.

BIBLE

Memory Work:

Began our study on Abraham.



Introduction to the ten commandments, the kids traced their hands then glued the ten commandments to each of their fingers.

LANGUAGE ARTS



Working in her spelling and language arts workbooks.



 Lots of reading and writing.

HISTORY


Locating the Tigris and Euphrates River and the Mediterranean Sea, plus labeled the five cities and the Fertile Crescent, including Egypt, Canaan, and Mesopotamia.

Kids made their own Sukkoth out of paper bags which they decorated.

Made his own tree and glued pieces of green paper that he ripped on the tree.

As we are listening to "Summer" by Vivaldi little man decided to dance to the music.

Watched a video on YouTube on "Animal Homes, Bird Nests".

FIELD TRIP 


Story time at the library was a very special way, Moana and Spiderman read the kids several stories and sang several songs.


Nice way for her to relax after all the school work, playing with some kinetic sand.



While I finished school work with his sister he sat quietly playing with kinetic sand, best way to relax.


Went with a few of our homeschool friends to our local baseball stadium "Segra Stadium", learned about the history and how it was made.


We had the best tour guide "Veronica Huggins".


Such a beautiful stadium.

Glad to have finished this week, seemed like we weren't ever going to get back to school.  Trying to keep as much things as normal as possible with the kids while in this process of moving and packing.  This week we learned more on pyramids, mummies, preservation, Bible book memory work, and learned about Sukkoth.  Little man will be worked on the letter Nn, number 5, review colors and shapes, and learn about all times of animal homes, bird life cycles, and the many different types of birds.  We also went outside and observed different animal homes: squirrels, rabbits, and birds.  Now unto next week to see what adventures our in store for us.
