ARTS & CRAFT

Playing with moon dough, a very easy recipe, it's so soft.  Here is a great recipe I got from I Love My Kids blog.

One of his favorite things to play with is his magnetic blocks.  I asked him to make something with the letter Mm and he decided to make a monster.

Took aluminum foil and he wrapped up on half of a paper plate to make it look like the moon.  Then he pushed it down to make it look like craters.

GEOGRAPHY

K pointed at the map and said what each section and ocean was, then went to the hall way to show D what each one was.

Working on her geography worksheet and learning about reading a map.

Working on our world map cake.

Love how our cake came out, and it was really good.  Used a continents mold that I bought on Amazon for the chocolate.

K made a map of her room and our neighborhood.

SCIENCE

Identifying the parts of leaves.

Made an earth & moon orbit the sun that we found on More Time 2 Teach blog.

Observing the moon this week, the only problem was that every night it was either raining or cloudy so we look online to see the moon phase for the week.  Fun seeing him ask question about why the moon changes.

After reviewing the way the rain works we did a rain experiment, one of the kids favorite experiments.

NATURE WALK

Went on a nature walk and got some bark from our walk and collected and labeled leaves we collected.

VIDEOS

Watched Phases of the Moon Astronomy and for space for kids on YouTube.

FIELD TRIP

This week the kids graduated from one of their co-op groups.  It was so sweet to see them walk down together and get their diploma.

This week we learned a lot about reading a map, geography, labeling a map, introduction to leaves and identification of trees, everything about the moon, and about the rain.  We have completed ten days of school.

GOD BLESS!!!
