Week off to relax

WEEK TO RELAX

Didn't plan on taking another week off from school but due to Kanani suffering from migraines and having some family in town for the weekend we decided it was best to take a week off.  One of the many blessing I love homeschooling.

My cousin Sophia, who we had never meet, came to visit from Florida.

It was so much fun getting a chance to know her before the rest of the family arrived.  She arrived on a Thursday morning and the rest of the family would arrive Friday night.

Went to Cracker Barrel to eat after picking up the family from the airport.

Haven't seen my relatives since the last time I went to Puerto Rico when Kanani was 6 months old, it's been 6 years.

Can't believe how grown up my cousin Dereck has gotten.

My grandmother with her great granddaughter

My Favorite picture of all

The girls were able to join the kids and me at our Saturday workshop at Lowe's.

It's been so hot here that the kids haven't had a chance to play outside much.  Today we were out and about early so the weather wasn't too bad and I decided to stop by a park for them to enjoy.

Little man's cheeks were so red by the time we left the park, we were only there for an hour then it started getting too hot.

Found this set of Magnetic Blocks at Khols and thought it would be great for the kids to enjoy.  We have a smaller set of these but the magnetic balls are the size of a marble and it always worries me that little man will chock on them.  I was very glad to have found a much larger one.

He really has enjoyed playing with these magnetic blocks.

Miss thang has been practicing climbing the side of the walls, our little monkey, and she was so proud when she finally reached the top.  She was determined to do it and did it.  Love her determination.

Some Kinetic Sand fun before bed, great way to help her relax from all the excitement of the day.

PLAYDATE

Some friends who we consider more like family came over and the kids got to make their own pizza from scratch.

FIELD TRIP

Went to the library for story and craft time with Biscuit the Puppy

The kids were so excited to meet Biscuit, especially little man who didn't want to leave his side and got upset when Biscuit left.

Dartanian kept giving Biscuit high fives

END OF WEEK

To end the week we went to celebrate Princess Ava and Princess Lucy's birthday at MegaPlay.

Little man had a blast trying all the different obstacle courses they had.

As soon as we walked in building Kanani couldn't wait to go and explore and have fun.

Fun times with great friends

I have been blessed to have known these ladies for most of my life (over 20 years of friendship) great women of God, my inspirations, and it's even more of a blessing to see our kids grow up together.

It has been a great week of relaxing, enjoying our time with family and friends, and now we are ready for week 10 of school.

GOD BLESS!
