Alphabet and handwriting practice.
Melissa and Doug Pattern Block Set, while they worked on this had them identify the many different shapes they used to form the pictures.

Played the Find it Fast Busy People game I got from Target. I would tell him I spy "Carpenter" then he would point to it on the card.
We observed several pictures of Rosemaling in some books, online, and on our Beauty and Beast bag. Such a beautiful art.
Coloring in some rosemaling pictures I printed that I got off of google.
Kids finished Rosemaling work on their shoe box since we didn't have cardboard chest.
Traveling to Norway this week.
NORWAY
Items we got from Norway.
Tides the Killer Whale from Norway.
Adding our Norwegian girl to our world map.
Observing our Norwegian Barbie I got when I was around K's age.
Added the Sweden doll to our world map.
Europe Flags
Coloring in Norway on her map and trying to remember a few countries in Europe.
Printed these worksheets from Education website. Love how the kids drew the northern lights without even being told.
Package from Sweden, we like how the kids have free education there and how they don't official start school till they are 7 years old. Go to preschool when they are 6.
SCIENCE
Not sure what that look on her face was but we talked about the many different types of animals found in Norway and its culture.
In little man's bug class he learned about grasshoppers and got wrapped in newspaper to show how they molted. As you can tell by the pictures he loved this part.
He made a grasshopper using a comb, such an awesome idea.
Kids picked out the Pink Valor Crape Myrtle Tree to measure.
K drew the tree and I wrote down the measurements you got of the tree.
Learning more about the Arctic.
After reading about the arctic we made our own biome, the one we had got damaged so we decided to make another one. Used Ivory soap that we microwaved to form the snow and some cotton balls. At least the biome smells really good.
Observed some nest in our pear tree, there was no eggs in them but it was neat to see all the materials the finches used to build their nest.
VIDEOS
Watched "Frozen" which went perfect with our Norway studies.
After talking about Vikings we watched two VeggieTales movies "Lyle the Kindly Viking and MacLarry & the stinky cheese Battle".
Music
Wee Sing: Row, Row, your boat.
Wee Sing: Little Green Frogs
FIELD TRIP
Surprised the kids with taking them to the splash pad before it got to hot outside. It was nice to have some fun outdoors. Great way to end the week.
This has been a great week learning about Norway, Sweden, arctic, and
the metric system. We measured trees and learned about rosemaling, which is so pretty. It's been such a fun week learning, looking forward to what next week has in store for us.
GOD BLESS!!!

ARTS & CRAFT
This was more of a review for us but we still enjoyed learning about the Inuits and their cultures in her Global Arts class.
Working on her soap carvings.
Made some vikings that I printed out from DLTK website. Then the kids got some of their viking toys out to play with their new viking they colored.
Talked about the Northern Lights and saw some online and watched some videos we found on YouTube. Hope to one day be able to see them in real life with the family, such beautiful creation from God.
