MFW: CTG (4th and 8th Grade) Week 11

This week we will learn about Jacob's family moving to Egypt, Hyksos control, the old Babylonian Kingdom and Hammurabi, the Hebrews become slaves, Queen Hatshepsut, Egypt's new Kingdom, Moses is born, and fleeing from Egypt. Also learn about Egypt's invasion, the old Babylonian kingdom, and a bitter prince becoming Pharaoh.

Kids did a lot of reading, writing, forming paragraphs, spelling, and learning different poems.

Read about Moses, the Israelites, from slavery to freedom, the Olympic games, life at home, life in Ancient Greece, school, Egypt invade, the Egyptian empire, the Old Babylonian Kingdom, and Hammurabi. Boats and chariots heavy objects long overland, the royal army, guarding the frontiers, soldiers, the New Kingdom, axes and spears, officers, and charioteers.

SCIENCE

Learned more about water, why things float, and will it float.

FIELD TRIPS

This weeks field trip we went back to Morgan Cabin for our 2nd part of the trip. Kids learned all about Colonial Era food preparations.

CONCLUSION

This week we read about Moses, the Israelites, from slavery to freedom, the Olympic games, life at home, life in Ancient Greece, school, Egypt invade, the Egyptian empire, the Old Babylonian Kingdom, and Hammurabi. Also read about boats and chariots heavy objects long overland, the royal army, guarding the frontiers, soldiers, the New Kingdom, axes and spears, officers, and charioteers. Learned more about water, why things float, and will it float. Now unto next week to see what adventures are in store for us.
