MFW:  1850 to MT and ECC Week 29

This week we will continue learning about Russia, Kyrgyz, Zaire (Congo), the space race, the Cuban Missile, the cold war, John F. Kennedy, and Hawaii.  Also read more about electricity, the tundra, animals changing their colors and two layers of fur, and the beach.

Read about the cold war, Argentina's president and his wife, freedom in the Belgian Congo, the Cuban missile crisis, expansion of civil rights, the United States changes, Lyndon Johnson becomes president, the Vietnam War, John F. Kennedy, space dog, and turbulent time.









SCIENCE

Learned about the polar regions, the arctic, parallel circuits, and circuit symbols.



ART

Lesson #249 Outdoor Activities

Listened to different Wee Sing songs and different songs kids want to learn to play.

FIELD TRIP



Went to cooking class and learned to make Irish Soda Bread, it was so good.


D enjoys the outdoors while the girls are cooking.

CONCLUSION

Read about the cold war, Argentina's president and his wife, freedom in the Belgian Congo, the Cuban missile crisis, expansion of civil rights, the United States changes, Lyndon Johnson becomes president, the Vietnam War, John F. Kennedy, space dog, and turbulent time.  Learned about the polar regions, the arctic, parallel circuits, and circuit symbols.  Had lots of fun this week, now to see what adventures are in store for us next week.

Lesson #246: Studies from Nature

Moribana Flower Scenery, he preferred to draw it instead of build one.

Listened to various "Wee Sing: #28 Veselle Husi" and listened to "The Beatles and various musicians".  

FIELD TRIP


Bought Kratos a bubble machine and he is obsessed.  

K started guitar lessons this week, D will start drum lessons when his instructor comes back from a funeral.  

CONCLUSION

Read about Japan, communism in Asia, Ho Chi Minh, Viet Minh, arrival of television, Alaska, Korean War, dictators in South America and Africa, and the war on poverty.  Learned about electricity, electrical grid, generators, planting power, loading the circuit, battery power, current flowing, circuit central, estuaries, watersheds, and oceans.  Lots of learning and fun, now unto next week to see what adventures are in store for us.
