  MFW: 1850 TO MT AND ECC WEEK 8

For this week we will learn about Greenland, George Muller, south against north, the American Civil War, after the Civil War, Nevada, and Andrew Jackson.  Also learn about nature, farming, industry, plant life, animal life, relationships among living things, the ocean, the four C's, plastic, putty, and elastic.  Lots of different things to learn this week.

LANGUAGE ARTS 

We've been concentrating more on reading and spelling this week, its the area the kids need more help in.



MATH 

Solving addition, subtraction, division, multiplication, and skip counting problems.

Read about George Fuller, Graciousness, Faith, Trust, Robert Edward Lee, Clara Harlowe Barton, Nevada, 1800's the First Modern War, Battlefield Medicine, the South Surrenders, transportation and communication advances, the concept of total war, and the north pulls ahead.







SCIENCE 

Learned about the four c's, silly surprise, putty, plastics, and pencil erasers, ways to help protect the environment, Arctic, Antarctica, Ocean, relationships among living things, liver flukes, and animal life.

Made two diorama of the Antarctica and Arctic, and the Ocean.

Enjoyed our time together at the lake, always love spending time outdoors together.  




CONCLUSION 

We had a busy week of learning and spending lots of wonderful time together.  This week we read about George Fuller, Graciousness, Faith, Trust, Robert Edward Lee, Clara Harlowe Barton, Nevada, 1800's the First Modern War, Battlefield Medicine, the South Surrenders, transportation and communication advances, the concept of total war, and the north pulls ahead.  Also learned about the four c's, silly surprise, putty, plastics, and pencil erasers, ways to help protect the environment, Arctic, Antarctica, Ocean, relationships among living things, liver flukes, and animal life.  Completed two diorama: Antarctica and Arctic and the Ocean.  Now unto next week to see what adventures are in store for us.
