 MFW: 1850 TO MT AND ECC WEEK 2

This week we will review the Northern States, learn the Eastern States, Middle States, Pacific States, Elements, table of elements, molecules, and American History.  Also learn about latitude, longitude, elevation, depth, physical political maps, local maps, city maps, and different types of maps.  Read all about biomes around the world, oxygen and water cycles, Alexander von Humboldt, more on dinosaurs.

Learn about latitude, longitude, elevation, depth, continent names, physical political maps, local maps, city maps, different kinds of maps, American History, Eastern states, Middle state, and Pacific states.  Also read about Colonial America, the First Indian Wars, England Colonies, New England Grows, Colonial Life, Slavery Emerges, the spread of Slavery, a clash of Empires, and a stunning victory.

Kids made a world map cake, they did a great job.

SCIENCE

Read about Biomes around the world, Alexander von Humboldt, more on matter, luster matters, color may matter, the shape of matter, hardness matters, smell matters, more properties matter.  Learned about the land of giants.

Found a beautiful spider web with droplets on it, looked so pretty.


Made an earthwork niche to study how they travel through the soil, after a few days we released them back to the wild.


Leaves and Oxygen Activity to see how leaves produce oxygen.

FIELD TRIP

In the kids STEAM class they made a solar oven and the moon phases out of glow in the dark paint mixed with shaving cream.

Ended the week with a delicious world cake the kids made and decorated.  Now unto next week to see what adventures are in store for us.
