Lion Unit

This week we are learning about Lions and Daniel in the Lions den.

FORK LION

Very easy craft that helps with motor skills and color recognition. 

I drew a face of a lion and had her paint he's mane using a fork,  then she painted his face with her fingers.  

PAPER PLATE LION

Cutting skills 

K learned everything about lions and then made a lion face out of a paper plate.  I made an example for her and then had her do her version.  Which I thought came out really good.  Her favorite part was cutting the plate, she loves using her scissors. 

FOOTPRINTS LION

Love any craft that involves their footprints or handprints. 

COLORING

Using her fine motor skills to try to stay in the lines, it's a work in progress.  

MEMORY VERSUS

We have a box of Bible cards that we got from a thrift store that help better understand the stories from the bible. 

PUZZLE AND BIBLES

Nothing better than learning the word of God! 

ABC Mouse

We started ABC Mouse with K in December of 2014.  To be honest we were skeptical at first, but we took advantage of the free month trial.  She loved it immediately, she didn't want to get off the computer.  

Her desire to learn to read has grown ever since she started the program.  There's so many different things to keep her interested, and they are always adding new things. 

Very happy we took this leap of faith. Like always little D is by he's sister side while she does her school work.
