This week we will work more on the ten commandments, the tabernacle, the golden calf, God speaks to Moses, the tabernacle being built, and the parts of the tabernacle and its meanings.  Also read about land, sea, and plants, more dirt on soil, and the rock cycle.

HISTORY

This week we read about the golden calf, Israel workshops a golden calf the tent of meeting, Moses and  the glory of the Lord, the news stone tablets, the face of Moses shines, rules of the Sabbath day, suppliers for the Holy Tent, Bezalel and Oholiab, the Holy Tent, Moses sets up the Holy Tent, and the glory of the Lord.

SCIENCE

Learned about the land, sea, plants, dirt, more dirt on soil, rocks and soil, and the rock cycle.  

ART

FIELD TRIPS

We went with our co-op group to Jefferson County Courthouse.  We sat in on a settlement hearing, a wedding kids got to do a mock trial, and went on tour of the building.  Judge Hammer spoke with the kids about the history of the courthouse and general law topics.

CONCLUSION

This week we will learn about Exodus, crossing the Red Sea, food in the wilderness, the ten commandments, and different laws.  Also learn about air, the space it takes, hot air is good, and how air has weight.

Learned the ten commandments, about the Exodus, setting apart the oldest son, rules for the Passover, and manna from heaven.

Read more about air, how sometimes hot air is good, and how air has weight.

FIELD TRIPS

Went to Antietam National Battlefield for a demonstration and lesson on "All About Flags" with our co-op group.  Kids learned about flag signaling, decoding, and different ways the soldiers would communicate during battle. 

CONCLUSION

This week we learned the ten commandments, about the Exodus, setting apart the oldest son, rules for the Passover, and manna from heaven.  Read more about air, how sometimes hot air is good, and how air has weight. Ended the week with a field trip to Antietam National Battlefield to learn all about flags and how the soldiers would use them to communicate during battle.  Great week of fun and learning, now unto next week to see what adventures are in store for us.
