  MFW: CTG (4th and 8th Grade) Week 6

This week we will learn about Job, Abraham's journey's Ur and Sumer, Abraham and Lot, Hagar and Ishmael, Indus River Valley, and Sukkoth.  We will read more on pyramids, different shapes, and the myths and mysteries of pyramids.

LANGUAGE ARTS

This week the kids learned about metaphor, figurative language, handwriting practice, and comprehension.




MATH

Worked on addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fraction, and decimals.

HISTORY

Read about North and South America, working with stones, the Mayan people, the city of Teotihuacan, fall of Ur, the Indus River Valley, the second Sumerian state, and the Sumerian society.



SCIENCE

Learned about the Toltecs, the Aztecs, modern pyramids, using pyramid shapes, build pyramids, study pyramids, chemistry, and crystals.

FIELD TRIPS


Family day at the church, the kids got to spend the worship service with me and then proceed to their classes.


Can't believe he is already 9 months old, love our little pony.

CONCLUSION

This week we read about North and South America, working with stones, the Mayan people, the city of Teotihuacan, fall of Ur, the Indus River Valley, the second Sumerian state, and the Sumerian society.  Learned about the Toltecs, the Aztecs, modern pyramids, using pyramid shapes, build pyramids, study pyramids, chemistry, and crystals.  Busy week of learning and now unto next week to see what adventures are in store for us.
