This week we will learn about the Civil War, End of the war, the Gettysburg Address, Juneteenth, and the south against the north.  Learn about evaporation, chromatography, filtration, magnetism, separating mixtures, and mechanics in motion.

Kids worked on Spanish, reading, writing, spelling, cursive, reading comprehension, and reports.








MATH 

Worked on geometry, algebra, practice questions, review questions, addition, subtraction, division, multiplication, fractions, and decimals.





HISTORY

Read about Abraham Lincoln, Robert Edward Lee, Clara Harlowe Barton, the American Civil War, Slavery in the south, the end of the war, the union advances, the USA splits, Italy becomes a Kingdom, Civil War end, a difficult peace, battle becomes efficient, battlefield medicine, transportation and communication advances, the concept of total war, the south surrenders, total war, the north pulls ahead, and the surrender at Appomattox.










SCIENCE

Learned about diluted versus concentrated, evaporation, chromatography, separating mixtures, magnetism, filtration, sifting, Newton's first law of motion, mechanics in motion, mechanical mechanics, always in motion, inertia in motion, roller coaster, and several experiments.  






ARTS

K worked on her computer skills, financial literacy, college prep, and both kids worked hard practicing their instruments, and their art work.

CONCLUSION
