Kids worked on spelling, reading, handwriting, Spanish, comprehension, report formats.
MATH
Worked on segment addition postulate, simplify roots of negative numbers, addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, reviews, and percentages.
HISTORY
Read about the Colonial Era through the Revolution, James Buchanan, Daniel Webster, Elijah Parish Lovejoy, Louisiana Territory Creole and Cajun foods, Minnesota, and reviewed the state capitols.
SCIENCE
Learned about radioactive isotopes half lives, ionic bonding, crystallized creations, precious gemstones, compound chemistry, common crystals, diamond mines, diamond mines, putty, plastics, pencil erasers, silly surprise, and the four c's.
ARTS
Theatre Arts 1: Roman Theatre to the Middle Ages, computer skills introduction to navigating computers, college prep, financial skills, music (guitar & drum classes), lesson #64 Earth colors, Matsumoto art, Lesson #63 Copying a millet, and made paper cup octopus.
FIELD TRIPS
Went to the library for craft time and made stain glass dinosaurs and they did their Taekwondo class (which I have no pictures since I was home sick).
