MFW: CTG (4th and 8th Grade) Week 34

This week we will learn about Alexander the Great, Greek culture, the Hellenistic Age, Alexander's Empire, the sense of taste, and the sense of touch. We also will work on reviewing all our senses by doing several experiments for each sense.

LANGUAGE ARTS

Worked on lots of reading, spelling, comprehension, poems, writing, Greek words, and Spanish.

MATH

Kids worked on addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, graphs, skip counting, and fractions.

HISTORY

Read about Alexander the Great, spread of Greek culture, Macedonia conquers Greece, and the Hellenistic Age.

SCIENCE

Learned more on the sense of taste, the sense of touch, sour and sweet, touch the difference, and did several different experiments for all our senses even our puppy wanted to be involved.

ART

Lesson #93: Drawing Samson

FIELD TRIPS

Went with the family to the National Conservation Training Center open house. We learned a lot, had lots of fun, got lots of goodies, kids dissected an owl dropping, and got to see a real eagle's nest.

CONCLUSION

This week we read about Alexander the Great, spread of Greek culture, Macedonia conquers Greece, and the Hellenistic Age. Learned more on the sense of taste, the sense of touch, sour and sweet, touch the difference, and did several different experiments for all our senses even our puppy wanted to be involved. Went with the family to the National Conservation Training Center open house. We learned a lot, had lots of fun, got lots of goodies, kids dissected an owl dropping, and got to see a real eagle's nest. This is our last week of school, now we will take several weeks break before starting 9th and 5th grade, can't believe we are here already.
