MFW: CTG (4th and 8th Grade) Week 30

This week we will learn about Judah, Daniel, the king's food, Nebuchadnezzar, the fiery furnace, Greece, and Sparta.  We also will learn about Judah taken captive, animals with no legs, and land vertebrates.

Kids made lion ornaments to remember that while we have Jesus in our hearts we will have COURAGE in the Lord.

LANGUAGE ARTS

Kids worked on their writing, reading, spelling, and Spanish, Greek, and comprehension.







MATH

Worked on addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fraction, skip counting, and patterns.




TIMELINE

HISTORY

Learned about the fall of Jerusalem, Daniel in Babylon, Nebuchadnezzar's furnace, classical Greece and Hellenization, Greek city-states and colonies, and Sparta.





SCIENCE

We continued reading about animals, learned about animals with no legs, land vertebrates, and earthworms.

FIELD TRIPS

Kids went to "Seeding your Future: Exploring Health Careers & Skills" class.  I really enjoyed listening to all the fun they had when I picked them up, what they learned, and especially to hear how excited D was to hold a cow and pig's eye, how he touched several organs of a pig and cow.  They said it was one of the best classes they've been to so far. 




CONCLUSION

Learned about the fall of Jerusalem, Daniel in Babylon, Nebuchadnezzar's furnace, classical Greece and Hellenization, Greek city-states and colonies, and Sparta.  We continued reading about animals, learned about animals with no legs, land vertebrates, and earthworms.  The kids went to "Seeding your Future: Exploring Health Careers & Skills" class.  I really enjoyed listening to all the fun they had when I picked them up, what they learned, and especially to hear how excited D was to hold a cow and pig's eye, how he touched several organs of a pig and cow.  They said it was one of the best classes they've been to so far.   Now to see what adventures are in store for us next week.
