 MFW: CTG (4th and 8th Grade) Week 31

This week we will learn about King Nebuchadnezzar, his pride, handwriting on the wall, Daniel in the Lion's den, and Cyrus the King of Persia.   Read more about insulation, people, and staying warm.

LANGUAGE ARTS

Kids worked on their writing, spelling, definitions, poems, Greek words, Spanish, and comprehension.








MATH

Worked on addition, subtraction, division, multiplication, word problems, skip counting, and fractions.

HISTORY

Read about Nebuchadnezzar, his pride, handwriting on the wall, Persia, Daniel in the Lion's den, Cyrus King of Persia, and the capture of Babylon.  Also discussed the Persian Empire, development of the Persian Empire, and Darius I.



SCIENCE

Learned more on insulation in animals and humans, people, and got to enjoy a partial solar eclipse.

FIELD TRIPS

This week the kids got baptized, they had shown a desire to show the world they are saved by being baptized.  When the opportunity came at our church they quickly wanted to do it.  We discussed what it meant to be baptized and they were both excited to do and move forward in their next step of serving God.  It was a wonderful experience and best of all our family was here to witness this wonderful moment. 


CONCLUSION

This week we read about Nebuchadnezzar, his pride, handwriting on the wall, Persia, Daniel in the Lion's den, Cyrus King of Persia, and the capture of Babylon.  Also discussed the Persian Empire, development of the Persian Empire, and Darius I.  Learned more on insulation in animals and humans, people, and got to enjoy a partial solar eclipse.
