This week we will discuss a life for a life, Frederick Douglas, Sojourner Truth, Oregon, reviewed more on the states and capitals.

LANGUAGE ARTS 

The kids worked on reading, spelling, writing, Spanish, comprehension, research, and parts of a report.


MATH

Learned about symmetry, divide quadratics, percentages, addition, subtractions, multiplications, divisions, fractions, and decimals.

HISTORY

Read about the introduction to American Immigration and Citizenship, Oregon, Frederick Douglass, Sojourner Truth, Jefferson and the west, the Lewis and Clark Expedition, free trade and sailors rights, the Louisiana Purchase, the war of 1812, peace and the battle of New Orleans, Mr. Madison's War, the Industrial Revolution begins, mode of transportation, shaping a new world, the growth of American Literature and language, and Women reformers.



SCIENCE

Studied Chemistry on how to classify matter, silly surprise, the good news, acidic acid, the bad news, plastic colors, strong and weak, basic bases, potential pH, neutral news, reactants releasing, and retaining.

ARTS

Computer Skills, Financial Prep, College Prep, Lesson #66 Searching for a lost artist, and Lesson #65 Jairus Daughter.


FIELD TRIPS 

Went to the library for craft time: made mask, then Taekwondo class, enjoyed some time outdoors playing with water, and ended the week going to the park with friends.





CONCLUSION 

This week the kids worked on reading, spelling, writing, Spanish, comprehension, research, and parts of a report.  Learned about symmetry, divide quadratics, percentages, addition, subtractions, multiplications, divisions, fractions, and decimals.  Read about the introduction to American Immigration and Citizenship, Oregon, Frederick Douglass, Sojourner Truth, Jefferson and the west, the Lewis and Clark Expedition, free trade and sailors rights, the Louisiana Purchase, the war of 1812, peace and the battle of New Orleans, Mr. Madison's War, the Industrial Revolution begins, mode of transportation, shaping a new world, the growth of American Literature and language, and Women reformers.  Did classes in Computer Skills, Financial Prep, College Prep, Lesson #66 Searching for a lost artist, and Lesson #65 Jairus Daughter.  We went to the library for craft time: made mask, then Taekwondo class, enjoyed some time outdoors playing with water, and ended the week going to the park with friends.  A fun week of learning and enjoying each others company.  Now unto next week to see what adventures are in store for us.
