This week we will learn about Energy, Forces, Hot and Cold, Gravity more about Abraham Lincoln, Civil War, and about how Jesus is our Good Shepherd.
BOOK
Some of the books we used this week.
BIBLE
Memory verse: "I am the good shepherd; I know my sheep, and my sheep know me."
~John 10:14
~Revelation 7:9-17
~John 10:2-5, 14-15, 27-30
~Psalm 95:6-7
~Psalm 136:23
READING
Dixie wins the race
LANGUAGE ARTS
Writing practice and practicing her spelling words.
MATH
No pictures :( but she did lots of addition and subtraction with money.
U.S. NOTEBOOK
Completed her memory verse and then finished coloring her state worksheets.
TIMELINE
Added Civil War to the timeline, she said she needed to wear her mask to place the card on the timeline.
ART
Went to Home Depot for our monthly workshop and the kids got to build and paint their own periscope.
SCIENCE
We saw some construction work and they quickly talked about Energy and Force and then we went across a bridge and they talked about Bridge Gaps, expansion and contraction. We also did the gravity test with feathers and a box but I didn't take any pictures. It was a lot of fun testing gravity with different objects. Love how they can see the world around them and quickly remember the things we learned at home. Makes homeschooling so much more rewarding.
Kanani made an awesome road with tunnels, bridges, and caves for all her cars to go through. Wish I could of gotten a better picture of it. Love her imagination.
Very proud of her hard work.
NATURE WALK
Having fun outside with the family
Let Larry Boy out to enjoy some vitamin D.
We were quite surprised with how much fun Hulk had outside, he went exploring all over the yard and even dug a hole.
Yoda was more scared than Hulk, he didn't want to explore at first. Once he felt comfortable he went exploring.
VIDEOS
We really didn't watch tv instead we opted to see the world as our tv.
ACTIVITIES
Went to the library for story time and games, the theme was sports ball.
The balloon is almost as big as they are.
After reading about Energy, Forces, Hot and Cold - heat is a form of energy, expansion and contraction we actually went and ran some errands around town and the kids kept pointing out different things that we had talked about. I was actually surprised they had actually listened to me, PROUD MAMI MOMENT! We also learned more about Abraham Lincoln, the Civil War, and Gravity,
GOD BLESS!
