This week we will learn about Connecticut, Massachusetts, Maryland, and South Carolina. We will also learn about birds nest and try to make one for the birds.

Made art with color bubbles
Building their own pirate ships out of newspapers
Their pirate ships came out so cute
SCIENCE
Built a fire pit and they made a bird's nest but I wasn't around when they built it and my dad placed the nest in the tree before I could get a picture.
We went to the Botanical Gardens to learns about water creatures, wild animals, birds, and insects.
Looking for bugs they found in the ponds
Kanani found the biggest tadpole in the pond
Loved getting to have the macaw on our shoulders, went great with our bird lesson.
NATURE WALK
For our nature walk we decided to take the kids to water park before it closed. It was loads of fun and we had the park all to ourselves. Many joys of homeschool.

We watched the Nature Channel on Netflix about birds and some YouTube channels on birds, I couldn't download the videos.
ACTIVITIES
Went to Stoney Point Fire Department with our homeschool co-op
Got a chance to climb on the fire truck
Enjoyed getting a chance to use the water hose to take out the fake fire
Firefighter Yensen showed the kids how they put on their uniform
Loved putting on the uniform afterwards.
It was pirate week at the library this week

This week we learned about Connecticut, Massachusetts, Maryland, and South Carolina. We talked about the American Robin and bird's nest, the kids even made a bird's nest and placed it in a tree. Went on many different field trips this weeks. Love how flexible we can be when homeschooling.
