MFW: ADVENTURES IN U.S. HISTORY WEEK 27

This week we will learn about Minnesota, Oregon, Abraham Lincoln, and do several experiments for freezing and melting.


BOOK 




You used a lot of different books on Abraham Lincoln and a couple of Minnesota and Oregon.

Working on her spelling words and workbooks.

MATH




She was working on her math work and reading at the same time.

U.S. NOTEBOOK



Learned about Minnesota and Oregon this week.




Coloring in her state worksheets.



Observed the old pennies to see Abraham Lincoln and the Monument 

TIMELINE



Added Abraham Lincoln to the timeline.


ART



For our art this week we concentrated on Abraham Lincoln, the kids acted the president when they finished their masks.


SCIENCE



Make water get bigger experiment.


 

Kanani placed the aluminum foil on top of the water bottom that she filled to the top and set it in freezer overnight.  




Freezing and Melting Experiment, kids picked the items to place in the ice tray.

NATURE WALK 



Had fun celebrating one of our friends birthday playing mini golf.

We watched videos of biography of Abraham Lincoln on YouTube.


ACTIVITIES

 

Playing pirate mini golf.


We learned about Minnesota, Oregon, Abraham Lincoln, Freezing and Melting experiments.  We've had a lot of fun this week celebrating one of our close friends birthday and had a blast learning about Abraham Lincoln and having the kids act like him saying all the things they learned about him.
