I USE MY TONGUE WISELY.
Some of the objects we found for letter Ff.
Kanani had a great time looking for all the objects for the letter Ff.
I completely forgot to take a picture of some of the great books we used before dropping them off at our local library. Was only able to take a picture of these two books, which we loved.
WORKSHEETS
Working on her cursive, writing the letter Ff, and identifying the pictures that begin with the letter Ff.
Completing her cuisenaire rod worksheet, ending sound worksheet, reading, and identifying her picture cards.
We were so happy to find a frog card in our Beginners Bible Card Set.
One of our devotion for this week was to "Be Respectful", which went great with this unit in learning how to use our tongue wisely.
Cut and paste and reading worksheets.
Finished our week with her blend ladder and drawing worksheet.
MATH
This week Kanani is learning how to count by 5s. She watched the video explaining the work for the week. Larry came to surprise Kanani while she did her math work, which made her laugh like crazy.
Counting frogs on her worksheet.
ARTS & CRAFTS
As part of our snack we made brownies in some cute little frog cupcake liners. Can't remember were I bought these but was excited to finally get to use them.
I drew a frog for Kanani to color in, she decided to make it a rainbow frog who was in constant movement. That's why the frog looks as if its moving according to her.
GAMES/ACTIVITIES
Playing leap frog.
Found this cute little wooden frogs and flies set at a thrift store. Great math practices for adding, subtracting, and placing the numbers in order.
We actually had a beautiful day during this cold week. So I brought out the water table for the kids to play with the frogs and enjoy their time outdoors.
Played a game of "Gone Fishin" to go with our Ff unit.
Enjoyed our "See and Spell" from Melissa & Doug and Classic Wood set. Fun way to learn how to spell and read.
Made her a little game to go with poem "Five green and speckled frogs", the only difference is that we ended up using five different frogs and modified the poem a little. Got this cute idea Aroma of Him blog.
Playing with her Letter Puzzle by Melissa & Doug. It's a matching game, letter recognition, sound recognition of letters, and much more.
SCIENCE
She was so excited to find when she realized one of the books we had gotten from the library had a picture of her red eyed tree frog. It was fun identifying the frogs we had using the books we got from the library.
Learned about the frog life cycle.
Had a field trip this week with our co-op to Discovery Kids. One of the stations was a Pet Vet Animal Clinic. We were so excited to find a x-ray of a frog.
MOVIES/VIDEOS
Watched a cute episode of Curious George learning the stages of frogs. This was season 1 episode 10.
No frog unit is complete unless you watch a movie of Leap Frog, such great learning videos.
Wild Kratts is one of our favorite shows, we learn so much fun facts about animals. This was season 2 episode 14.

MEMORY VERSUS
Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen.

POEM
FIVE LITTLE TADPOLES
By: Author Unknown
Five little tadpoles swimming near the shore.
The first one said, "Let's swim some more."
The second one said, "Let's rest awhile."
The third one said, "Swimming makes me smile."
The fourth one said, "My legs are growing long."
The fifth one said, "I'm getting very strong."
Five little tadpoles will soon be frogs.
They'll jump from the water and sit on logs.
CLASSICAL MUSIC
Mozart: Horn Concerto no. 3 in E-flat Major (II. Romanza)
This week we learned about the frogs life cycle and how we need to watch what we say to others. We want what comes out of our mouths to be a blessing unto other, to lift them up and not put them down. God says time and time
Here are two of our dwarf frogs, these guys love to eat pillets and small guppies.
