TODDLER PRESCHOOL: BODY IDENTIFICATION AND SENSES This week instead of concentrating on a specific letter, number, shape, and color we will be identifying different body parts and work on some senses. Will use this week to review what we learned from the previous lessons. BOOKS

It was fun watching him identify the different body parts of the pig and the many different pictures in the book.
To go with the senses we played outside to observe the smell, touch, sight, and hearing of the outdoors.
To go with little man's lesson of "Identifying body parts" I gave the kids some foot massage, which they enjoyed a whole lot. Love pampering my babies. Working on the sense of touch, taste, and smell, he helped take the beans out of their shell and would smell them. After working so hard I made some rice and beans for him to taste, which he loved.
Working on his eye senses practicing pulling the shoe lace through the wooden blocks. He also tapped the blocks together and would mimic the sound it would make, with this activity he did the sight, touch, and hearing sense.
TOUCH
Have several containers that hold different objects in them for a specific color. He picked out some (red and orange) to look through them and observe the objects in the container.
Looking around the house for soft objects and he found two soft balls, a soccer ball and a football. Sense of touch.
Gave him some paper to draw on but I believe he preferred his legs. Silly boy that's why I gave you the paper for.
After finishing our workshop we walked by the carpet area so he could touch the different types of carpets. He really enjoyed touching them and saying soft, nice.
FIELD TRIP
He had a lot of fun following and trying to do all the moves Jayson made, teaching the kids some ninja moves.
Always a great time when we go to the library END OF WEEK He's gotten really good at doing these workshops and working with a hammer. After the workshop we went to celebrate a friend's birthday at her grandma's house. He loved playing in the pool, he loves anything that deals with water.

After coming back from our mini vacation we started an introduction to the five senses, we will continue next week plus learn the letter e, number 5, star, and the color yellow again. It's been a very fun week and will only get better.
MFW: LEARNING GOD'S STORY WEEK 7 This week we will be reviewing the four seasons, learning about addition, working on long i silent e, long o, abstract art and the books of the bible. BOOKS Some of the great books we used this week
BIBLE
Talked about Zebras and how they work together to keep each other safe from harm. They work best as a team, just as we should cooperate with one another.
Learned about how geese work together and encourage each other in many different ways. That's how God wants to do with each other, build each other up not tear each other down.
We found out that whooping cranes love to dance. They take time from flying to relax and have fun. God not only wants us to work hard but to also take out of our busy schedule to just have fun and relax. Introduction into the Old and New Testament in the bible.

She always wants me to join her in her art lessons so I did the top right picture and she did the bottom right picture. Love how her desire to learn about art. ACTIVITIES Went outside to enjoy the second day of summer, she was making up different ways to get water out of the kiddie pool. Love how she uses her imagination to make up new ways to do things. Instead of using 66 books to represent the books in the Bible we decided on using legos. It was great counting practice and she even did them in a pattern. SCIENCE
Reviewed about the equator and the four seasons, we read this awesome book (top left picture) and it helped explain everything about the four seasons and the reason why they change. She wants me to buy the book for our own collection.

FIELD TRIP
Went to the library for a Ninja training class, the kids had a blast learning about the many moves ninjas make.
Fun times as always at the library END OF WEEK Ended the week at our Saturday workshop, she really looks forward to these. She loves building things and loves it more she barely needs any help.
Sibling Love After a week off for our mini vacation we got back into the swing of school again. This week she learned about adding to get the sum of 3-7, abstract art, long i & o, and about how and why birds migrate when the seasons change. GOD BLESS!
