This week we will be learning about Saul, wrongful sacrifice, David is anointed, David plays for Saul Scythians, David and Goliath, and David and Jonathan.  Also read about the Lord rejects Saul as King, the early Russians, more on the solar system, the moon, and how big the moon is.

Kids worked on reading, spelling, writing, comprehension, Greek, Spanish, and poetry.

MATH

They did lots of addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, word problems, skip counting, and money counting.

FIELD TRIPS

Went to "Marvelocity the art of Alex Ross", at the Museum of the Shenandoah Valley. 

CONCLUSION

This week we learned about the Early Russians, earliest settlers, the Cimmerians, Saul and Jonathan, David is chosen to be King, the Scythians, art, the first horsemen, lifestyle, and the Sarmatian invasion.  Also read more on the solar system, the moon, how big the planets are, and the phases of the moon. Ended the week going to "Marvelocity the art of Alex Ross", at the Museum of the Shenandoah Valley.  Now unto next week to see what adventures are in store for us.

Listened to the audio of "The Adventures of Odysseus and the Tale of Troy".

FIELD TRIPS

Went on a tour to Briggs Animal Shelter, learned about different animal jobs available, and got to meet several of the shelter animals.

CONCLUSION

This week we read about David and Goliath, Saul turns against David, and David and Abigail.  Studied more on eclipses, apparent brightness, and where the stars go during the day.  Ended the week at Briggs Animal Shelter, and got to learn about the many different jobs that work with animals.  Now unto next week to see what adventures are in store for us.
