 MFW: CTG (4th and 8th Grade) Week 9

This week we will learn about Jacob meeting Rachel, Jacob leaves Laban, Egypt's middle kingdom and homes, Joseph, Joseph sold as a slave, and Joseph and Potiphar's wife.  Also learn about Abraham's descendants, Jacob's twelve sons, and farming.  Will read how the amount of light affects what you see, and guiding light.

Worked on addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fraction, decimals, word problems, measurements, and conversion units.

Read about Jacob and Laban's daughters, Jacob returns to Canaan, Egyptian homes and villas, a Nobleman's villa, granaries, bakeries, breweries, town houses, supporting beams, musicians, professional dancers, Egyptian banquets, the Middle Kingdom, Jacob's twelve sons, and the tribes of Israel.





SCIENCE

Learned how the amount of light affects what we see, and guiding light.

FIELD TRIPS

This week we have been busy with lots of errands, school, kids clubs and music lessons, and decided to just stay home this weekend and try to relax. Got to see some deer on our daily walks with Kratos.


Kratos fell asleep while K read to him, he melts my heart.

CONCLUSION

This week we will learn about Abraham offers Issac, a bride for Issac, Esau sells his birthright, Egyptian Art, Jacob deceives Issac, and Jacob's ladder.  We will also continue our studies on pyramids, birth sacrifice, birthrights, how the human eyes sees, absorption, and reflection.

FIELD TRIPS


This week we stayed home for the most part and just spent time together, which of course Kratos didn't mind all the attention.

CONCLUSION

This we learned about Abraham's test, Issac and Rebekah, Jacob and Esau, Jacob's flight, and Egyptian artwork.  Read about how the human eye sees, blind spot, microwaves, transmission, transparent, reflection, and absorption.  Enjoyed are time together and getting to relax more this week.  Now unto next week to see what adventures are in store for us.
