This week we will get to observe the Lunar Eclipse, learn about the letter Gg, number 7, color black, the rectangle shape, and about Thomas Jefferson.

ACTIVITIES
Learning the verse: John 7:37 "...If anyone is thirsty, let him come to me and drink."
Playing with magnets while I do some school work with his sister.
This week the kids got to observe the lunar eclipse, it was a great experience for everyone.
Made a moon model to show how the moon covers the sun and forms an eclipse.
Painted two paper plates, one black the other yellow, for their eclipse activity.
Kids made their own version of an eclipse using paper plates.
Made some galaxy slime to go with our eclipse theme for the week.
Added plastic glow in the dark stars to their slim.
They played with their slime for awhile. Once they were done I place them in plastic containers for them to continue the fun later.
After reading about Thomas Jefferson, brought out the quill and ink set so the kids could get a feel of what might have been used to sign the Declaration of Independence.

Writing their names and shapes using the quill and ink set. This was a very fun activity.

FIELD TRIPS
A trip to the library is always so much fun, especially with your friend close at hand.
This week we got to experience a Lunar Eclipse, learn about the Declaration and Independence, and even write a quill. Also learned the letter Gg, number 7, black color, and the rectangle shape. Now unto next week and see what adventures are in store for us.
