Preschool (Cc, #3, Yellow, Triangle) Solar System

PRESCHOOL (Cc, #3, YELLOW, TRIANGLE) SOLAR SYSTEM

This week we will review the letter Cc, the number 3, the color yellow, and the triangle shape.  Will discuss North American Indians and the solar system and do several activities on the subject.  We will also learn why we celebrate Memorial Day.

Identifying the color yellow and observing several different items that are yellow.

Working on several puzzles and matching



After talking about some of the homes the indians made, the kids helped make a wagwam and a tepee.  They enjoyed playing with the homes once they were dry.



Sensory and balance play, he would try to play a plastic golf ball on a tee.



Having fun playing with water and water balloons with friends.




Reviewed some interesting facts about the solar system



Painting their own version of the solar system



Their solar systems came out great.



After discussing gravity we did a little experiment with a feather and a cube to see which one would drop faster, the cube fell faster to the floor than the feather.

VIDEOS



Watched a show of StoryBots Super Songs (E1 S1) "Outer Space and our Body" and also watched Magic School Bus (E1 S1) "Gets Lost in Space".
FIELD TRIPS



Took the kids to the Airborne and Special Operations Museum to talk to them about the meaning of why we celebrate Memorial Day.



Observing why we have our Freedom.

This week we discussed the letter Cc, the number 3, the color blue, and the triangle shape.  Also learned some facts about Native American Indians, our solar system, and the true meaning of why we celebrate Memorial Day.
