Rainbow/Colors Unit

Really enjoyed this unit, so many crafts and experiments out there it was hard to narrow just a few.

MOSAIC ART

We looked at several different Mosaic art pieces then made the rainbow.

SHAVING CREAM

Loved how the rainbow came out on the paper.

This is always fun, either on the pavement or in the tub.

ST. PATRICK'S DAY

Sensory bin: searching for gold in the rainbow pasta.

ELMER THE ELEPHANT

Such a wonderful story

ERUPTING RAINBOW

Place a couple drops of food coloring in 6 separate bowls then placed some baking soda on top.  I had K guess what color was in each one before pouring vinegar on it.  She loved finding out what color would show up.

FRUIT LOOPS RAINBOW

Great sorting game and identifying colors.  Filled a bowl with fruit loops and asked her to separate each color in each bowl.  Once she was done she took the pipe cleaner and put one end into a big marshmallow.  Afterwards I told her to place 4 of each color on the pipe cleaner to form a rainbow.  Her favorite part was getting to eat the rainbow.

RAINBOW SLINKY

This has brought back so many memories.  Love that I get to share this with my kids. Slinkys are so much fun.

THE FIRST RAINBOW

Rainbow: God's symbol as a promise that He will never flood the earth again.

SEARCH FOR THE RAINBOW

Went around the multi-purpose room searching for rainbows.  K realized rainbows are all around us.
