Fayetteville Observer Field Trip

Today we went to the Fayetteville Observer, the publishing comany.  It was interesting to see how the paper was made and learn the history of the Fayetteville Observer.

The kids did such a great job in listening to our tour guide.

How the paper was made back then.

Some of the items that were used to write the paper and an antique camera that was used to take pictures.

Getting the tour of where the editing takes place.  The photo editor was so sweet, she offered all the kids candies (which of course they all loved), then asked them to come around the counter so she could show them what she does exactly.  All the kids were so intrigued by all the pictures the editor was showing them.

Making of the newspaper.

Rolls of paper to make the newspaper, inserts, and other newsletters from all over.

Kids enjoyed playing on the rolls of paper.

Showing us how they stack the paper.

More machines

The end of our tour, the kids taking a picture with our wonderful tour guide.  Unfortunately I can't remember his name.
