MFW: CtG and Gods Creation Week 10

MFW: Creation to the Greek and God's Creation from A to Z Week 10

This week we will learn about clouds, octopus, more on Joseph, review of the ten commandments, all about water, solids and liquids.  Pharaoh's court, clothing, weaving, clay, pots, food and drinks in Egypt.

After learning about Joseph and his coat of many colors the kids made their version of his coat.

After discussing Joseph she wrote a short sentence on her worksheet summarizing the story.  "He forgave his brothers."

Traced his hand to make this cute octopus and then he added some friends to go with his octopus.



After reading "Swimmy" to the kids they made the picture that was at the end of the book.

Observing a few clouds in our backyard.



After reading the book Clouds we went outside to look at some clouds, the kids then made the clouds they saw.  K made a snake and D made a circle and Letter O cloud.

In his ocean class he took last semester they made an Eye Spy bag of ocean animals, went perfect with our studies this week.



For lunch I made the kids some octopus hotdogs and added some goldfish around the octopus.  They loved it and thought it was a lot of fun.


MUSIC 



While listening to The Best of Vivaldi "Winter", K drew a picture of what Winter looks like to her, and we listened to Say Hello to Classical Music:#9 Handel: Water Music.

FIELD TRIP 


My parents surprised us with a trip to Great Wolf Lodge, its our 2nd time going and we had just as much fun.


Loved every minute spent with my babies.


Of course who doesn't love playing in the water.

This week we learned about clouds, octopus, more on Joseph, reviewed the ten commandments, all about water, solids and liquids.  Pharaoh's court, clothing, weaving, clay, pots, food and drinks in Egypt.  Took a wonderful surprise trip to Great Wolf Lodge and enjoyed every minute of it.  Now unto next week to see what adventures are in store for us all.

This week we will focus on learning more about Jacob and Rachel, Joseph, Potiphar's wife, Middle Kingdom, Abraham's descendants, how light affects the way we see, and all things dinosaur.

FIELD TRIP 



Went with the family to a Creation Museum with the family.  



So many neat items to observe.



After the creation museum we stopped at Jim's Gems & Gold.


Kids went to a birthday party and the theme of the party was Jurassic Park, great way to end the week, their gift bags where cute little dino bags.



Went to Build a Bear to take my nephew there and they had the Stegosaurus on sale and my mom bought him one.  He was so excited to have a dinosaur for Letter Dd week.



Kids enjoyed their raptor rings pops.

This week we learned more about Jacob and Rachel, Joseph, Potiphar's wife, Middle Kingdom, Abraham's descendants, how light affects the way we see, and all things dinosaur.  Went on several field trips with our family and enjoyed my nephew while he was visiting.  It has been a great week of learning and fun.
