This week we celebrated the Fourth of July. We concentrated our focus on learning about why we celebrate July 4th.
BOOKS/VIDEOS
Watched Liberty Kids, which we have done a million times, and read "The 4th of July Story".
ACTIVITIES
Made baking soda stars and froze overnight.
Gave the kids bottles filled with vinegar for the kids to squirt on the stars and watch them fizz.
Making paint fireworks
Shaving cream fireworks
Beautiful art works and a mandatory bath afterwards.
Set up a red, white, and blue water station.
They really enjoyed mixing the colors together.
Had family over to celebrate the 4th.
Some fun fireworks, sparkles, pop-its, and glow wands.
Fun with sparkles and some fireworks.
Watching daddy blow up some fireworks.
Watching fireworks from our front yard, the neighbors have the best fireworks.
July 4, 1776 America declared itself free from England with the Declaration Independence.
