Dr. Seuss Unit

This week we celebrated Dr. Seuss, it was by far one of the best units we've done.

DISPLAY

We did a craft, experiment, or sensory play depending on the book we read.

PHOTO PROPS

Some photo props I made for our co-op group.

CAT IN THE HAT

My Cat in the Hat

ONE FISH, TWO FISH, RED FISH, BLUE FISH

Traced the kids hands to make the fish.

GREEN EGGS AND HAM

These came out so good, they are very addicting.
Place a chocolate melt on top of the pretzel, place in oven for 2 minutes 350'.  Once out the oven place a m&m on top of the melt.

THE LORAX

Bought some rainbow pencils and hot glued a glittery Pom Pom on top to represent the Truffle Trees in the story "The Lorax".

Here's a close up of the pencils (Truffle Trees).

LIBRARY TRIP

Kids enjoyed Learning about Dr. Seuss, playing games, story time, and craft.

Even little man got involved.

Kids had so much fun

Little D loved touching the poster

Love K's expression in this picture when D took his hat off.

Her finished craft

Say cheese all you CAT in the HAT

FOX IN SOCKS

Made a Fox puppet and colored a sock (practing staying in the lines), after reading the Fox in socks.

H.E.A.R.T OF RAEFORD CO-OP

At our co-op this week we celebrated Dr. Seuss.  Parents made snacks based upon Dr. Seuss books.  We also played games representing a book.

We had 7 stations that represented a different book.

Kids really enjoyed all the games.

Using the photo ops I made for pictures.

THE FOOT BOOK

Love crafts that get the whole family involved

HORTON HEARS A WHO!

Search for the speck on the Pom Pom

She was very excited when she found the speck

BARTHOLOMEW AND THE OOBLECK

Great way to end the week: making Oobleck

She had fun making the Oobleck

She didn't want to touch it at first

Finally enjoying the Oobleck
