 MFW:  RTR AND LEARNING GOD'S STORY WEEK 28

This week we will learn about India, Christopher Columbus, Sari, King Skandagupta, Moghul Dynasty, monks in caves, the Great Indian Kingdoms, and voyages of discovery.  Also will discuss what Purim is, read about Esther, rebuilding Jerusalem, the birth of Jesus, fractions, and more water experiments.

HISTORY 


Looked at several pictures of what Indian women wore or still wear: Sari.


Read about the Indian Middle Ages, everyday life, origin of Chess, and the functions of rulers.


Kingdoms of Southeast Asia, conquerors of Northern India, and Kingdoms of Southern India.


Studies the Medieval Indian Empire, a King named Skandagupta, the bad luck servant, monks in caves, the Moghul Dynasty, and Akbar of India.


The Great Indian Kingdoms, the origins of Chinese Civilization, the Muslim conquest, Indian influence in Southeast Asia, the end of Gupta Dynasty, and African Kingdoms thrive.


Found a different recipe for Chapati flatbread on Pinterest.


She enjoyed following the recipe and making Chapatis .


Kids liked tasting the Chapatis.


We made some taco meat and tasted the Chapatis with the meat and cheese, it was pretty good.

Our lesson this week was on space rocks, comets, the coma, famous comets, and a comet's orbit.

FIELD TRIP/EVENTS 


Got more snow this week.


My brother in law came to visit for the weekend, which the kids were so happy about it.

Just like that the snow melted and Zeus & Larry Boy got to enjoy some sun.

CONCLUSION 

Got to enjoy a visit from my brother in law.  We miss being so close to our family and getting to see whenever we wanted.  It always a great time whenever they come to visit, especially for the kids.  This week we learned about India, Christopher Columbus, Sari, King Skandagupta, Moghul Dynasty, monks in caves, the Great Indian Kingdoms, and voyages of discovery.  Also discussed what Purim is, read about Esther, rebuilding Jerusalem, the birth of Jesus, fractions, and more water experiments.  Now unto next week to see what adventures are in store for us.
