MFW: Exploration to 1850 and Adventures in U.S. History Week 17
This week we will read about the Spanish Missions, Italy, a Kind and a Painter of Spain, the Corsairs of Algiers, the Turkish Empire and its Sultan, Spain's new colony, Poland, home to China, Alexander Hamilton, John Paul Jones, Olaudah Equiano, and about slaves. Another name for Jesus: the Lamb of God, Eli Whitney, Tennessee, living things, animal cells, bacteria, germination, monocotyledons, and dicotyledons.

Worked more on reading, handwriting, commands and action words, and filling in the blanks using spelling words.

Addition, Subtraction, Fraction, Division, Multiplication, and value of money.
Timeline
Added Eli Whitney invents the Cotton Gin to his timeline.
Added Mozart, Haydn, and Beethoven to her timeline.
History
Read about Eli Whitney, Tennessee, cotton, Italy, a King and a painter of Spain, the Corsairs of Algiers, the Turkish Empire and its Sultan, Poland, the Empress and the Sultan, Poland, home to China, Alexander Hamilton, John Paul Jones, and Olaudah Equiano.
Science
Read about living things, cells, animal cells, bacteria, germination, inside the seed, monocotyledons, and dicotyledons.
Art
Drew George Washington, a bird, and D colored in his gingerbread man.
Music/Video
Listened to the history of Mozart and several of his music, and Patriotic songs of the U.S.A. #5 many flags.
Field trip
Went to Maryland with the family and learned some of its history and the many wars that happened there.
Conclusion
This week we read about the Spanish Missions, Italy, a Kind and a Painter of Spain, the Corsairs of Algiers, the Turkish Empire and its Sultan, Spain's new colony, Poland, home to China. Read about Alexander Hamilton, John Paul Jones, Olaudah Equiano, and about slaves. Learned about another name for Jesus: the Lamb of God, Eli Whitney, Tennessee, living things, animal cells, bacteria, germination, monocotyledons, and dicotyledons.
