MFW: Exploration to 1850 and Adventures in U.S. History Week 15

This week we will learn more about George Washington, the Seven Year War, Three Pointless Wars, the war of the Spanish Succession, France and England in America, French and Indian War Begins, a young poet named Phillis. Read about Botany, taxonomy, phyla, vascular plants, learn more about air through several experiments, and painting animals. Also will learn about Rhode Island, Vermont, Daniel Boone, weather, and wonderful name Immanuel.

Language Arts

Read about seasons, handwriting practice, read lots of different books and stories, oral narration, prepositions pronouns, and writing sentences.

Math

Addition, Subtraction, Multiplication, Division, Fraction, and Conversation Units.

Timeline

Added Daniel Boone to our timeline.

History

Learned more about George Washington, the Seven Year War, Three Pointless Wars, the war of the Spanish Succession, France and England in America, French and Indian War Begins, a young poet named Phillis. Read about Daniel Boone, Rhode Island, and Vermont.

Science

Read about Botany, taxonomy, phyla, vascular plants, and all about air through several experiments.

Art

Learned how to draw animals, mixing colors, and all about secondary colors.

Music/Video

Listened to and watched a video of the Best of Tchaikovsky: The Nutcracker, and all about Handel.

Field trip

Went to the Shenandoah Museum to see the National Geographic Photo ARK exhibit with the family.

Conclusion

This week we learned more about George Washington, the Seven Year War, Three Pointless Wars, the war of the Spanish Succession, France and England in America, French and Indian War Begins, a young poet named Phillis. Read about Botany, taxonomy, phyla, vascular plants, learned more about air through several experiments, and painted animals. Also learned about Rhode Island, Vermont, Daniel Boone, weather, and wonderful name Immanuel. Ended the week with a trip to the Shenandoah Museum with the family. Now unto next week to see what adventures are in store for us.
