MFW: ECC & K4 WEEK 32
This week we will finish our two week studies on Australia. Try our hand in baking some damper biscuits, work on different crafts, and hear several music and stories from Australia. Learn about Australia's hot dry forests and animals that live there. Little man will work on the letters A-F and numbers 0-6, and continue reviewing colors and shapes.

Here is my husband and my art work, we love joining the kids in their crafts.
We made our own version of Koala's out of playdoh instead of the recommended peanut butter and etc. It was fun seeing the kids version and seeing how much they enjoyed this activity.
After learning about Koalas I printed this worksheet for the kids to color and make their picture of a Koala.
Read about some historical buildings in Australia and then the kids made their own version of the Sydney's Opera House. Very proud of their work.
GEOGRAPHY
Kids added Australia to our World Map.

SCIENCE
Printed this cute pictures of Australia worksheet and some animals you will find there. The kids really enjoyed it and loved how cute the animals were.

Kids were so happy to find a bearded dragon in one of the books we were reading.
After going for walk around the neighborhood we played a game of "Wet Head" to refresh ourselves. Love seeing their expressions when they end up getting wet.
My parents surprised us and took the kids and me to "Icemaking ice cream rolls" for a Valentine treat. It was our first time going and gotta say it was delicious.
By the looks on their faces you can tell they loved the ice cream.
Watched "Finding Nemo" which goes perfect with our studies of Australia since it takes place in the Great Barrier Reefs.
MUSIC
Wee Sing: Epo I Tai Tai E
Went to our first Valentine's Day Party at one of our co-op's, the kids made many different crafts and then passed out cards.
Happy with all their goodies.
Second party at the library and they were so excited to win so many prizes.
Third and final party for the week at our other co-op. D's class made cute crafts and then passed out their cards.
K's class decorated their Valentine bags and then handed out their cards. Afterwards we all got together and enjoyed some goodies and pizza.
We completed our studies on Australia and have loved every bit of it. This week has been a very busy week with all the Valentine activities on our schedule. Learned so much on the culture, their beliefs, the type of food they eat and the way they talk which we all love. Studied more on coral reefs and the seasons in Australia. Now unto next week to begin our studies on Antarctica.
