MFW: Exploration to 1850 and Adventures in U.S. History Week 22
This week we will learn about Captain Cook, Australia, the French Revolution, the convict settlement, the storming of the Bastille, exploring the Southern Seas, victory of the third estate, Massachusetts, and Maryland. Also learn about leaves, photosynthesis, transpiration, Jesus being the head of the body, Illinois, Alabama, wagon train, our body and how it functions, bones, organs, and muscles.

Language Arts
Lots of reading, spelling, writing, composing paragraphs and complete sentence, parts of a paragraph, and how to begin a research paper.
Math
Addition, Subtraction, Division, Multiplication, skip counting, finding the area, and right angle.
Timeline
Added Captain James Cook and The French Revolution to her timeline.
History
Read about Illinois, Georgia, Captain Cook, French Revolution, the convict settlement, Alabama, storming of the Bastille, victory for the third estate, Connecticut, the wagon train, Massachusetts, and Maryland.
Science
Replanted all the herbs from her garden to bigger pots, she's excited to how fast they are growing. We studied leaves, human body, bones, muscles, and parts of our body and their functions.
Art
Music/Video
Listened to "the Best of Chopin: #8 Etude in E. Major op. 10, no.3 and # 9 Etude in C Minor op. 10, no. 12-Revolutionary" and "the best of Tchaikovsky: Swan Lake".
Watched episode 10 to learn more on George Washington Carver.
Field trip
In our front yard.
Birds enjoying their food while it snowed, love seeing all the different types of birds and animals we have our house.
Conclusion
This week we learned about Captain Cook, Australia, the French Revolution, the convict settlement, the storming of the Bastille, exploring the Southern Seas, victory of the third estate, Massachusetts, and Maryland. Also learned about leaves, photosynthesis, transpiration, Jesus being the head of the body, Illinois, Alabama, wagon train, our body and how it functions, bones, organs, and muscles. The kids spent more time playing outside with neighborhood kids, our house is the hot spot for all the kids to play in, we have the biggest yard so lots of room to play in. Now unto next week to see what adventures are in story for us.
