This week we will read about wars, George Washington, French & Indian War, the war of Spanish, the Seven-Year War, and France and England in America the empire builder.  Also read about Martin Luther, John Calvin, Hugh Latimer, John Knox, Anne Askew, Ninety-Five Theses, the world, Africa, Asia, and Europe.

LANGUAGE ARTS

Kids worked on reading, spelling, writing, reports, Spanish, and poems.

MATH

Worked on addition, subtraction, division, multiplication, fraction, decimals, and algebra.

HISTORY

Read about Martin Luther, John Calvin, John Wesley, three pointless wars, George Washington, the war of the Spanish succession, the age of reformation, Europe, Maria Theresa, the later Habsburgs, David Brainerd, French and Indian War begins, the Anabaptists, and history of the Bible.

SCIENCE

We learned about the leaf system, flowers, fruits, seeds, transpiration, botany, botanists, Latin, taxonomy, phyla, vascular plants, diagram of a seed, life cycle of a been, identifying different types of leaves, and parts of a leaf.

ART/MUSIC


Paint Card XVIII:  Painting Animals more like coloring animals.


FIELD TRIP

Did some bird watching and Tae Kwon Do class.

CONCLUSION

This week we read about Martin Luther, John Calvin, John Wesley, three pointless wars, George Washington, the war of the Spanish succession, the age of reformation, Europe, Maria Theresa, the later Habsburgs, David Brainerd, French and Indian War begins, the Anabaptists, and history of the Bible. Also learned about the leaf system, flowers, fruits, seeds, transpiration, botany, botanists, Latin, taxonomy, phyla, vascular plants, diagram of a seed, life cycle of a been, identifying different types of leaves, and parts of a leaf.  Now unto next week to see what adventures are in store for us.
