MFW: WHL (10th Grade) and Exploration to 1850 (6th Grade) Week 5

This week we will read about Massachusetts Bay Colony, Rhode Island, Salem Witchcraft trials, Miles Standish, Roger Williams, Charles Darwin, Gerrit Dou, Jerusalem, the church begins, the conversion of Cornelius, turtles, tortoises, and marsupials.

Learned about Jerusalem, major themes in Luke, the Watchman, John Winthrop, New England, the pilgrims and the Native Americans, Miles Standish, Roger Williams, Engish settlement, hornbook, Roger Williams, Rogue Island, satan comes to paradise.


SCIENCE

We read about marsupials, how animals see, designed for moving on land, how animals communicate, order sphenodontia: tuataras, order squamata: lizards, snakes, order testudines: turtles, tortoises, terrapins, and koala.

CONCLUSION

This week we learned about Jerusalem, major themes in Luke, the Watchman, John Winthrop, New England, the pilgrims and the Native Americans, Miles Standish, Roger Williams, Engish settlement, hornbook, Roger Williams, Rogue Island, satan comes to paradise.  We also read about marsupials, how animals see, designed for moving on land, how animals communicate, order sphenodontia: tuataras, order squamata: lizards, snakes, order testudines: turtles, tortoises, terrapins, and koala.  Lots of learning this week, now unto next week to see what adventures are in store for us.
