MFW: WHL (10th Grade) and Exploration to 1850 (6th Grade) Week 3
This week we will learn about the rise of Rome, Augustus Caesar, Roman Law, the Roman Empire, memorizing the books of the new testament in the Bible, King James, Jamestown, French Exploration, Champlain, and John Smith. Learn several things about reptiles, lizards, mammals, and painting. For some reason I don't know what happened to all the pictures I took this week, thankfully some made it on the blog.
BOOKS

BIBLE

LANGUAGE ARTS
Kids did a lot of reading, writing, spelling, paraphrasing, reports, and Spanish.
MATH
Algebra, addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, word problems, decimals, and skip counting.

SCIENCE
Learned about mammals, their feet, large and small ones, how some animals are built for work, tigers, sheep, animals that show God's provision, Order Apoda-Caecilians, evolution of fish to amphibians, dogs, reptiles, and birds.

This week we read about King James, the forgotten translation, the gunpowder plot of terror, calamity in Jamestown, the starving time, royal visit, establishing a government, Sir Edwin Sandys, Roman civilization, the rise of Rome, Augustus Caesar, Roman law, Henry Hudson, settlers in North America, the new colonies in the New World, and going their separate ways. Learned about mammals, their feet, large and small ones, how some animals are built for work, tigers, sheep, animals that show God's provision, Order Apoda-Caecilians, evolution of fish to amphibians, dogs, reptiles, and birds. Had a busy and fun week with my parents in town, we always love when they come over. Now unto next week to see what adventures are in store for us.
