This week we will be reading about the apostle Paul, God's wisdom vs man's wisdom, the first century Mediterranean world, New York colony, the Dutch in the New World, Henry Hudson, tobacco, unwilling colonists, Queen Nzinga of Angola, and all about birds.

Kids worked hard on their spelling, writing, reports, and Spanish.
MATH
Worked on addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, word problems, and decimals.

Read about God's wisdom vs man's wisdom, Paul, Robert Browning, the Dutch in the New World, New Netherland becomes New York, the slave trade, a triangle of trade, slave ships, slave rebellions, workers wanted, the slave trade begins, slaves at work, and the ending of the slave trade. Also read about tobacco, unwilling colonists, the first century Mediterranean world, and Queen Nzinga of Angola.
SCIENCE
Learned all about birds, reptiles, bird beaks, bird feet, penguins, plumage, incubation, class Aves, flight, the bird's digestive system, flightless birds, designed for flight, respiratory system, and different types of eggs.
ART/MUSIC
FIELD TRIP
S.T.E.M. club started back again, D built a "THIN MAN" out of toothpicks and clay, and K volunteered.

CONCLUSION

Learned all about birds, reptiles, bird beaks, bird feet, penguins, plumage, incubation, class Aves, flight, the bird's digestive system, flightless birds, designed for flight, respiratory system, and different types of eggs. Had a great week of learning and enjoying several activities together. Now unto next week to see what adventures are in store for us.
