This week we will read about Japan, China, Hideyoshi, the first Tokugawa ruler, Japan's isolation, foreign conquest of China, echinoderms, sponges, and worms.  Also read about John Wycliffe, John Huss, and Johann Gutenberg, Albert Durer.

Read about warlords of Japan, changes in Japan, the first Tokugawa, strong samurai, the Edo period, Japan's isolation, peace and wealth, the Ming and the Ch'ing, art and medicine, China and the world, Chinese rebels, attack of the Manchus, the Ch'ing dynasty, and John Huss.  Also read about John Wycliffe, the Canterbury tales, the Pardoner's Tale, the Renaissance, and economic revolution, the role of the church, a different focus, political changes, humanism, Johann Gutenberg, Japan's isolation, the forbidden city, the Ming and the Ch'ing, art, medicine, China, and the world.  

SCIENCE

Learned about echinoderms, what animals eat, sponges, worms, human evolution, hominid, hominin, fiber, cells, turgor pressure, tissues, xylem, plant cells, and the structures of a flower.
