This week we will be learning about Patrick of Ireland, Columbia, Anselm of Aosta, Bernard of Clairvaux, Peter Waldo, and Clare of Assisi.  Also read about Russia, Peter the Great, Persia, Ottoman Empire, Insect, Arachnids, and Crustaceans.

Read about Russia looks west, Peter's port to the west, changes in Russia, Ivan the Terrible, the time of troubles, Peter the great, the empire grows, struggle for sea power, using Christians, sultans, Persian rivals, and the empire weakens.  Also read about Anselm of Aosta, 1000-1200 the world, monks, invaders, western empire, Europe, Peter Waldo, Clare of Assisi, Americas, Leif Ericson, Chimu capital at Chan Chan, and the Anasazi cliff-dwellers.  Learned about the battle of Clontarf, Spanish kingdoms unite, church life, the battle of Hastings, English land survey takes place, Bernard of Clairvaux, middle ages, Germany, and France. 

SCIENCE

Learned about insect metamorphosis, arachnids, crustaceans, industrious ants, the immune system, vestigial organ, lymphocytes, the respiratory system, and the digestive system.

ART/MUSIC

Build a car out of Legos and see if it can hold together going down a ramp.



Tae Kwon Do Class, D didn't get to go this week due to him being sick, K got her first yellow strip.  She was super excited and we were so proud of her, she's worked really hard.

This week we will learn about Christianity, cults, religions, biblical Christianity, the rise of Islam, Alfred the great, the vikings, Asia, the world, Europe, Americas, Africa, Cyril, and Methodius.  Also learn about Georgia colony, Newton: Locke, farming, General James Oglethorpe, the universal laws of Newton and Locke, scientific farming, changes in farming, the age of ideas, invertebrates, arthropods, insects, and the circulatory system.
