MFW:  RtR (5th Grade) and AHL (9th Grade) Week 13

This week we will about Diocletian, Constantine, Christianity, Fall of Rome, Galen's pharmacy, food and feasting, Germanic tribes, the digestive system, and all about the stomach.  Read about Ruth, Samuel, Saul, Greek alphabet, creation, and Egypt.

Kids did a lot of reading, writing, spelling, Greek, Spanish, finishing book reports, and definitions. 











MATH

Worked on addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fraction, decimal, and skip counting.






HISTORY

Read about Domitian, Marcus Aurelius, the five good emperors, the new Jerusalem, food and feasting, Blandina, Constantine, the spread of Christianity, the fall of Rome, divided empire, social instability, and the unstable empire.  Also read about unstable leadership, the story of Ruth, the birth of Samuel, economic instability, Egypt, Ambrose, Athanasius, the ark, Saul, Monica, and Augustine.

Learned about the digestive system, waste disposal, what happen to our food, food journey, mutations, evolution, nucleotide abnormalities, chromosomal abnormalities, and point mutations.

Lesson #109 Symbolic Colors and freelancing

FIELD TRIP


Kids spent the day learning about Echo Location and bats at the Seeding Your Future Yearly Conference.

CONCLUSION

This week we read about Domitian, Marcus Aurelius, the five good emperors, the new Jerusalem, food and feasting, Blandina, Constantine, the spread of Christianity, the fall of Rome, divided empire, social instability, and the unstable empire.  Also read about unstable leadership, the story of Ruth, the birth of Samuel, economic instability, Egypt, Ambrose, Athanasius, the ark, Saul, Monica, and Augustine.  Learned about the digestive system, waste disposal, what happen to our food, food journey, mutations, evolution, nucleotide abnormalities, chromosomal abnormalities, and point mutations.  Another busy week of learning, now unto next week to see what adventures are in store for us.

This week we will learn about Deborah, Gideon, Samson, Israel, Gamma Delta, Epsilon, Greek and Roman Mythology, and gladiators.  Also read about Vespasian, Titus, Roman Colosseum, Jewish temple, chariot races, Roman emperors, Nero, and the Flavian Dynasty.  Read about Christian church, the five good emperors, Galen, early art, and Christian art.

We enjoyed the warm weather this week, spent lots of time outside, nature, and going for many walks.
